My name is Jill O’Keeffe and my aim is to assist you in achieving the change you desire, which will enhance your health and/or your general well-being.
A little more about me
Having been a Registered General Nurse for 30 years, I have a profound interest in the health of my clients on a physical, mental, emotional and spiritual level. My work within the NHS has included Cardiothoracic Surgery and Community Nursing. I then worked in Industry for a short time but for the last 10 years of my Nursing career, I worked in a hospice, first as a Staff Nurse and then for six years as a Sister.
During my time there I attended a conference at a hospice in Derbyshire and discovered that Hypnosis is used frequently there, helping patients to cope with their illness in many ways. This sparked an interest within me, as they were achieving some wonderful results. My interest grew and it became natural for me to train as a Clinical Hypnotherapist and follow a new direction, whilst still being able to use many of the skills I developed in my previous roles. I chose to seek out a trainer who had also been a qualified health care professional.
Over the past few years I have become more aware of the connection between the mind and the body and the effect one can have on the other. This helps me to consider each person as a whole, rather than just the symptoms or concerns they attend with, which means that helping one issue can actually have a positive effect on other aspects of their health and well-being.
As well as my healthcare experience I have been involved in several sporting activities including Tae Kwon Do (I achieved my black belt in 2010), British Military Fitness, cycling, hill walking and skiing. I am also a qualified Reiki Master/Teacher Practitioner and I constantly strive to learn more so that I can improve the outcome for my clients.
I am fully qualified and registered with the National Hypnotherapy Society and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) I am a certified Weight Loss specialist and Smoking Cessation specialist and I have a diploma in Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP). I have had a Police CRB/DBS certificate throughout my Nursing career.
I work from home in the South of Coventry, which is also easily accessible from Warwickshire and elsewhere in the West Midlands. I have a comfortable, ground floor therapy room, which allows me to give individualised therapy in a sensitive, professional and confidential way, using my years of experience as a Nurse and Nursing Sister – and my skills acquired as a Hypnotherapist. There is ample parking available.
Please telephone or email me to discuss any queries you may have. I am always happy to talk to you and advise as necessary.
